Filming Changes Coming for ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’

Despite being over two years away from release, director James Gunn is already feeling “a little stressful” of all that has to be completed before the release of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

Although the third entry in the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise will be Gunn’s last, it surely will be an emotional and memorable ending for fans of the diverse group of space nuts.

Previously, Gunn confirmed past reports on Twitter that cameras would start rolling in London “later this year,” however, a new report indicates otherwise.

James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will no longer be shot in London, but rather in Atlanta, Georgia, in late Fall, according to Murphy’s Multiverse.

Keep in mind that Gunn will not only be wrapping up post-production on Peacemaker before moving on to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, but he will also be filming the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special for Disney+. Additionally, Gunn will also be responsible for shooting footage for the “Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind” ride at Epcot in Disney World.

“A little stressful” seems like an understatement!

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 hits theaters on May 23, 2023.
