Legendary composer Danny Elfman is returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

In collaboration with director Sam Raimi, Elfman will compose the music for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Elfman confirmed the news in a recent interview with Inverse.

“I am starting to do bits of pre-work for Doctor Strange 2 that Sam Raimi’s directing. Even though I don’t start it for some months, there’s bits of recorded music they need for the sets.”

The Disney Legend is most notably known for his work on 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, including working with Raimi in past projects like Darkman, Spider-Man (2002) Spider-Man 2 (2004), and Disney’s Oz the Great and Powerful.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is set to arrive in theaters on March 25, 2022.
